Small sist comes back after a school meet today and informs me that my kid bro, who is grade 7, is sitting in a class of 60 students to one teacher. Parents today raised concerns about how one teacher is effectively catering for each the students educational needs if she is faced with this high number of students each day. Some even 70 per class. Furthermore...this year the classroom seems smaller with desks squeezed in. Solutions were brought forward like ensuring that only 40 students re-enrol in 2015 or those who arent performing or undisciplined be chuked out...seriously??Did not seem like solutions but its a reality of free education. Is there enough space for at least 40 of these classmates in secondary level n then would there be enough at Tertiary Level? When they do drop out of a system that did not teach them well in primary level..is there enough tech/ vocational schools..is it free also?? Free Education Policy is beyond the Primary school level!!
