Small world alert. William home sick this morning. Hes watching Black Hawk Down. In the movie, actor Josh Hartnett plays Army Ranger SSgt Matt Eversmann. Eversmann was best friends at Hampden Sydney with Bernard Moss. I met Moss (just out of the Army) in a bar downtown in 1993 [when Angie and I had our first night out after Madison was born]. Angie decided he should meet her friend Meredith. Meredith and Bernard eventually got married. As a bridesmaid in the wedding, Angie was escorted down the aisle by groomsman Eversmann (who was resplendent in his uniform). Turned out that Bernards dad was the doctor who delivered Angie when she was born in Johnson City. Small world.
