Smart Scope Improves Accuracy in the Halo 5 Beta Using Halo 5’s aim down sight (ADS) mechanic, known as Smart Scope, will tighten your weapon spread. Halo 5, while people have assured us really feels like Halo, breaks a lot of new ground. Even from early video leaks it was clear that there were a lot of new in-game systems to play with, many of which caused some of the fans to question the next installment of the series. One of those new features is the Smart Scope, a new zooming system which is available on nearly every weapon. While early access to the Halo 5 beta has been met with much praise, there have been some complaints regarding the weapon spread and the seemingly improved accuracy achieved when scoping in. To prove the credibility of these complaints, YouTube user Akki n Nyxi demonstrates the improved bullet spread that is gained through the use of smart scope on the AR, BR, SMG and Pistol. As you can see from the video, almost every weapon gains significant improvements to accuracy when zoomed. Granted, Halo 5 returns the descope feature, which means while you may be more accurate when zoomed, you can’t really use smart scope when under fire. Remember, this is a community demonstration and Halo 5 is only in an early beta. Everything is subject to change.
