Smith Micro is having a sale on digital downloads for the one-version-back-from-new copies of Manga Studio EX, Anime Studio, and Poser. They are on sale for $29.99 each, or bundled together for a fantastic $49.99. Manga Studio 4 EX was worth the >$300 I paid for it a few years back. The fact that version 5 is out does not diminish the value that version 4 holds for anyone who wants to draw comic books digitally. I also own Photoshop, Illustrator, and Painter, they are respectively better for working with photographs, graphic design, and emulating natural medium... none of them come close to Manga Studio for creating graphic novels. Anime Studio 8 is great for cutout South Park style animation- I own it but use Toon Boom Animate for the little animation I have done so far... but it is a $700 program. Poser has been an industry standard for creating digital characters for animation, gaming, and still images. I primarily use if for references with my drawing. Those three programs together are easily worth ten times the sale price of $49.99.
