Smith Place November 23, 2:00pm Smith Place was named in Gabriel John Smith who was killed in Korea. Take Thompson Avenue to Ocean Avenue to Smith Place to attend this dedication. We want to share something with you that we should all be very proud of. The Township announced via its website on Friday, that 5 streets in Middletown are being dedicated to fallen veterans- heroes of our country. One of those five streets is here in our community. Come out to pay your respects tomorrow at 2:00 at the corner of Ocean Avenue and Smith Place (right across from Ocean Avenue School). Hope you will set aside some time to attend this short dedication ceremony and help pay tribute to Service Member Gabriel John Smith and his family. If you have a small flag or banner that you would like to display while gathered at the ceremony or tasteful red, white, and blue clothing that you would like to wear to show your respect and patriotism, that would be a nice gesture. It is sure to be a poignant gathering and will only take a few moments from your day. Thanks for your support of our service members and their families. May we be especially mindful of them and their sacrifices as we enter into our holiday season.
