Smokey is new to Labrador Rescuers as of 8/8/14 and weighs 74 lbs. He was surrendered to a local shelter by his owner, who supposedly adopted him when he was a month old, about 2 years ago. Hes a sweet boy, but understandably a little unsure about all the changes going on in his life right now, and will need some time to re-gain his confidence and trust in people. Smokey seems interested in a tennis ball, but not obsessive about it. We didnt think he really knew his name, nor does he seem to know any commands, so hell also need some training and boundary setting. When the Lab Rescue lady picked him up today, he was laying in the shelter next to a cat (see photo), so he seems to be ok with cats.
