Smokie (our cat) & I just had some excitement! We let her out in the backyard and leave the door cracked open for her to come in when she is ready....well, she came in a while ago with a little bird in her mouth. Shes brought me lizards, bugs, mouse, but this is a first for me with a bird. Not sure what kind, but I think a sparrow. It was still alive and when I went towards her she let it go from her mouth and of course the bird starting flying around, got stuck under the window blinds, got loose and when it headed for the back door, it hit the door frame and knocked itself nearly out. It landed in the corner where I was able to catch it before Smokie did and all while shooing Smokie away. I got it outside and let it go where it flew away. LOL...Im cracking up thinking of how me and Smokie were both running around chasing a bird in our house.
