Snap shot of the day.....Three Missions in 24 hours, All ending well. Teams doing 20 mile hikes through the mud, rocks & water. CHP H-40 coming through in the pinch....again! Technology working so a victim can communicate so we can find him and the weather cooperating....just enough. what a great & busy time of the season! Some things to keep in mind: Know how to use your map & compass & have them with you. Listen to your parents! Respect the weather forecasts. When hiking with a group, stay together. Big animals you ride can hurt you. Know your limitations. Your equipments limitations. If relying on your cell phone, have ways to charge it while in the BC. Telling someone where you are going & when you will be back is good. Consistent communication with friends & family while out and about is better. THANK YOU to everyone who came out today!
