Snowden is running out useful secrets. The United States has always engaged in some sort of industrial, commercial espionage. ... So. Not really a surprise. The USA, Israel, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Britain, Bulgaria, Brazil, Peoples Republic of China, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, Iran, Israel, Russia, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, India, Pakistan, most every country that has intelligence agency engages in industrial espionage. Indeed it is very likely that the majority of the espionage conducted is directed more to commercial, economic, financial and industrial targets than terror or security targets. That is really no secret. Unless like the Canadians your intelligence agents are so clumsy they get nabbed breaking into a Brazilian mining company. ... Indeed I think the only real secret, secret agency was operated by the Provisional wing of the IRA. Usually the Naval or military intelligence branches are more focused on what they are supposed to be looking at. ... In the 1960s, the Lions Clubs the world over were funded by the CIA. The targets of these clubs were commerce mostly. That was a very badly kept secret. 95% of Soviet intelligence was obtaining commercial and industrial intelligence. Like this not really a secret. It was supposed to be secret. Alas, never has been.
