Snowmobile Avalanche Education Sierra Avalanche Center in partnership with California State Park OHV grant is offering snowmobile specific avalanche education. This is a free course with a two hour evening presentation for classroom learning and a full field day to put this knowledge into practice. Topics covered will include: how to read and understand the avalanche advisory, avalanche terrain identification, managing risk while riding in avalanche terrain, and avalanche companion rescue.
