Snydersville Raceway Results for October 17 Written by: Alex Greenzweig & Ted Harris (Microstock Results) Snydersville Raceway would be booming with many people/drivers preparing for the November 1 Race plus we would have the Microstock Racing Series making their 2nd and final stop. An amazing car count of 75 with some drivers running doubles to make 83 entries of cars. With the track being slick, our drivers would make it work and still be fast, providing great racing to all. 11 Microstocks would show for the Microstock Racing Series. Bob Wagner would lead the field flag to flag in a flawless run to take the checkered flag. Congrats Bob! Charlie Shaver would finish in a close 2nd. 3rd would be Alex Greenzweig, who put on an awesome show threading his way through the field from tenth. 4th was Tom Arntz and rounding out the top 5 was Wayne Krenn, 6th- Tyler Wagner, 7th- Kenny Dengler, 8th- Larry Ealey, 9th- Walter Morrison, 10th- Ronald Counterman, 11th -Roy Morris. 2 Kid Karts would run a flawless race with Katie Verwys taking home the win and Brandon Walsh finishing in 2nd. The Briggs Stock Light would put on a great race with a driver that would get a victory after 16 race winless streak. Green Flag would fly on the Lights and Sam Neary would jump to the lead but making a quick move on lap 2 would put Hunter Metzger on the point. Sam Neary and Steven Frindt would try to keep up with Metzger but he would check out the field. An early caution would then bunch the field on lap 4. Green would come back out with Frindt and Scott Neary battling it out for 3rd but Scott would take over the 3rd spot, now on the hunt for his younger brother Sam who is in 2nd. Finally on lap 11 Scott would catch his brother Sam and would take over the runner up spot. Time would run out and Hunter Metzger would finally get a win since May 9, Scott Neary would finish in 2nd, Sam Neary would finish in 3rd, Steven Frindt would round out in 4th, Chad Balliet would finish 5th and Branden Walker would finish 6th. 6 Jr. Champ 1s would put on an exciting race on caution free racing. Alex Kolonics would lead wire to wire and take the win for the Jr. Champ 1 division, Aidan Boucher would finish in a close 2nd, Cody The Kid Quagliato would finish in 3rd, Gary Collins would round out in 4th, 5th was Jasper Zeigafuse and 6th was Lil Miss Shelby McLaughlin. Gavin Santee would once again take the win for Jr. Sportsman with Sean Verwys finishing in 2nd and Tyler Longacre would round out in 3rd. 4 Briggs Stock Heavy would put on great race that came down to the finish. Jason Wolfe would take the win from the tough race, 2nd was John Wolfe, Steven Longacre would round out in 3rd, and Adam Brown would finish in 4th. Blaze Croop would take the win for Rookie Jr. Sportsman with Cory Longacre finishing in 2nd. 2 AllStar Slingshots would show to put on a great race. Joe Malson would take the win with Kyle Herve finishing in 2nd. 3 Briggs Stock Medium would show with one driver signing in late that would race to the win. The Famous Bobby Butler would be that late entry starting in 3rd.Green would wave and he would take the point on the 1st lap and lead the entire way to pick his first win of the 2014 season, 2nd was Jonny Peters and Rick Shive would round it out in 3rd. 15 Microstock Animal 206s would show to run the weekly race of wheel to wheel action. A soft track and some rough areas would greatly narrow the available racing surface which produced some intense racing as the drivers had to scratch and claw for position.This produced more contact than is desirable but our drivers persevered and put on a great show for 20 laps. Tom Arntz would lead flag to flag with the Pumpkin Gremlin #15 Microstock. Congrats Tom! Charlie Shaver would follow in a close 2nd with Ted Harris rounding out the top 3, Wayne Krenn would come from the rear and finish in 4th and Jim Ackerman would round out the top 5. 6th- Ron Farber, 7th- Matt Ackerman, 8th- Larry Ealey, 9th- Jim Counterman, 10th- Ronald Counterman 11th- James Counterman, 12th- Matt Gyurkovics, 13th- Michael Thomas Jr, 14th- Mike Andrews, DNS- Roy Morris. The battle continued in the Controlled Stock Champ class. Bob Wilson would lead the entire way and take the win and the point lead with Lew Everett finishing in 2nd, Troy Snyder would round out in 3rd, 4th was Buddy Lord, and David Lestician would round out the top 5. 12 Sr. Clones would come out to put on an intense race of wheel to wheel action. Green would come out but a late caution would come out before the 1st lap would be completed with John LaRue and Scott Goldt being sent to the rear. Green would come back out and Jason Fisch would take to the lead with Chad Balliet in 2nd and Wayne Fisch running in 3rd. Then a battle would come for the runner up spot on lap 3 and Wayne Fisch would take the runner up spot over Balliet. Jason Fisch would lead the entire race to take the win over his brother Wayne Fisch who would finish in 2nd, Chad Balliet would round out the top 3, 4th was Marty Boucher, and Scott Neary would round the top 5 out. 6th- Trevor Jones, 7th- Eddie Geiger, 8th- Emily Oswald, 9th- John LaRue, 10th- Scott Goldt, 11th- Jonny Peters, 12th- Jessica Sigley. Joe Demott would take the win for the fast Open Modified Karts. 3 Jr. Slingshots would take to the oval and create an intense race. Andrew Vreeland would hold off Damion Dusheck for the win with Cody Motto finishing in 3rd. Michael Boucher would beat out the veteran Alex Arndt for the win in the Briggs Animal Sr. Feature. 2 Sr. Champs would take to the 1/8 mile oval. Tori Bobal would earn her first victory at Snydersville with Kallie Manieri finishing in 2nd. Sydney Kratzer would take the win for Novice 1/4 midgets. 3 Honda 160 1/4 Midgets would take to the track. Macy Litchauer would take the win with Austin Homan in 2nd and Kayla Campbell rounding out in 3rd. With only 1 points race left most championships are locked in but for some it will come down to the last race. Then we end our 2014 Season with the Thunder at the Ville on November 1.
