Snydersville Raceway had a great weekend as the track went 2 days this past weekend. There was great racing as we had 69 cars on Friday Night with a Regular Show and only 26 cars on Saturday for the Microstock Big Show. Everyone had a great time on Friday and Saturday. Friday Night Racing was great as we started with the Little yet Might Kid Karts with 9 cars in the class on Friday. Green Flag will wave and Jax Yohn took off into the early lead with Shelby McLaughlin following in 2nd and Nicholas Rindgen in 3rd. 4 Laps would go in and Shelby McLaughlin and Nicholas Rindgen would switch positions. On lap 6 a caution would come out that sent race lead Jax Yohn to the rear of the field. Green would come back out but the Red would come out on the same lap involving Shelby McLaughlin. She would come out ok and already back in the seat to finish the race. Green would come back out and Nicholas Rindgen would now be the race leader with Jayce Brown in 2nd and Katie Verwys rounding the top 3 out. Another caution would come out on lap 10 to slow the field. Green would come back out the final 2 lap and Nicholas Rindgen would lead all the way to take home another win, Jayce Brown would follow in 2nd with Jax Yohn finishing 3rd. Shelby McLaughlin would come up and finish 4th. 5th- Benjamin Richards, 6th- Jayce Brown, 7th- Alison Rindgen, 8th- J.T. Dembecki, DNS- Ryan Schane. Next was the Rookie Jr. Sportsman with 2 cars. Tyler Longacre would take off into the early lead with John Kendall following right on his bumper. A lead change between the to would occur on lap 7 but change again on lap 10. 1 lap later the caution would come out. Green Flag would come back out and John Kendall would lead the rest of the way to take home his first flat kart win of 2013. Tyler Longacre would finish in 2nd. After intermission the Novice ¼ Midgets and Honda 120 ¼ midgets would take to the speedway. 5 cars total in the class. Winner of the Novice ¼ Midgets was Macy Litchauer, 2nd was Austin Homan, and finishing 3rd was Ryan Burkett. Winner of Honda 120 was Zach Smith and Second was Kate Smith. Next class was Briggs Stock Light. Taylor Santee and Michael Boucher would start number 1 and 2 for the Feature. Green flag would wave and a caution would immediately come out sending Michael Boucher to the rear of the field. Green would resume and Taylor Santee would take back out in the lead with Jack Butler following in 2nd. On lap 5 Tyler Evans would move up into the runner up spot sending Butler into 3rd, who would then be shuffled back to the rear of the field. A yellow would then slow the field half way through the race. Green would come back out and then one more caution would slow the class after 1 more lap. Green flag would come back and Santee would lead the rest of the way to take home her 8th win of the year. Finishing second was Tyler Evans, finishing 3rd after making her returning day view at “The Ville” was Alyssa Longacre. 4th was Michael Boucher, 5th- Jack Butler, 6th- Steve Yankowski, DQ- Scott Arndt. Next was Controlled Stock Champ with 5 cars. Green Flag would come out with an immediate caution sending Duke Lasowski and Lew Everett to the rear of the field. Green would come back out and Ron Counterman would take over the lead and lead all the way to take his first win, Duke Lasowski would finish in 2nd, 3rd was Lew Everett, 4th was Larry Ealey and 5th was Bob Wilson. Next was Jr. Sportsman with 4 very fast cars. Green would come out and Sean Verwys would take off into the lead with Gavin Santee following in 2nd. Verwys would lead all the way to take the win with Gavin Santee finishing in 2nd, 3rd was Hunter Metzger and finishing in 4th was Zachary Evans. The AllStar Slingshots took to the track with six car. Green would come out and immediately after the caution would slow the field immediately on the start with Kyle Herve and Billy Osmun. Green would then come back out and Greg Zellman would take off into the lead with Mike McLaughlin following in 2nd. The class would go 11 laps till another caution came back out involving Jim Conroy. Green would then come back out and Zellman would resume leading the pack. He would lead the rest of the way to take home a win with Mike McLaughlin following in 2nd, 3rd would be Kyle Herve, 4th- Billy Osmun, 5th- Tess Horvath and 6th- Jim Conroy. Briggs Stock Medium would take to the speedway. Green would wave and Flip Voorhees would take off into the lead with Michael Boucher in 2nd. No Cautions would slow the class and Flip would lead wire to wire to take another win, Michael Boucher would follow in second, Steve Yankowski would finish 3rd and 4th was Rick Shive. Next was the Honda 160 ¼ Midgets with 5 cars. Green Flag would wave and Andy Zall would take off into the lead, Cooper Libby would follow closely behind in 2nd. Kayla Campbell would move up into 2nd on lap 1 with Dillon Renz following in 3rd. A red flag would come out on lap 7 ending Dillon Renz’s night. Green would come back out and Andy Zall would go back into the defense mode in first. 1 laps later Kayla Campbell would then take over the lead and lead the rest of the way to take home another win, 2nd was Andy Zall, 3rd was Griffin Libby, 4th- Cooper Libby, 5th- Dillon Renz. Sr. Clone would take to the track next with 12 Cars. A caution would immediately come out sending Ron Housman to the rear. 2 more cautions would come out but once the Green came back out Bobby Smith would take over the lead but 2 laps later Jason Fisch would take the lead and lead the rest of the way to take home his first win of 2013, 2nd was Bobby Smith, 3rd was Billy LaRue, 4th- Jonny Peters, 5th- Ronald Housman, 6th- Taylor Santee, 7th- Scott Goldt, 8th- Eddie Geiger, 9th- Ron Farber, 10th- Ed Spargo, 11th- Billy Proctor. Next was Microstock Animal 206. 5 cars would start the race and no cautions would trouble the class and Ted Harris would take home another win. Roy Morris would finish in 2nd, 3rd- Jim Ackerman, 4th- Ron Farber, 5th- Larry Ealy. Here is the Results for the remaining classes: Open Modified Kart: 1st Derrick Demott Little Big Jr. Sportsman: 1st: Cory Longacre, 2nd: Jacob Goldt. Jr. Champ: 1st- Jessica Sigley.
