So - apparently I have only developing efficiency in reading according to CELPIP - meaning I am barred from any work requiring a university degree. My writing is only effective, also a disqualifier. Well, I am amazed. Three hours of communicating with a computer (i.e. as per usual in these modern times, there is no viva – I mean, this is supposedly an English Language examination), checking boxes and doing sound checks. The writing test itself came in two parts; Part One – “You have just moved into the area. Write an invitation to your new neighbours, including [details, word count]”. Part Two – “Write up a Traffic Accident Report including [details, word count]”. There is no handwriting. I must have written dozens of these over the years, many for court submission and conducted successful court defences requiring extensive documentation in lieu of legal representation. No-one to date has had any problems with the slightest detail, (not to be confused with disputed fact). Im truly f****** amazed and I’m beginning to wonder if this project is a complete waste of time. RSVP. (bring your own smokes).
