So - very strange thing happened yesterday. I had just come out of Cappriottis in Jennersviee and this man whipped in beside my jeep - in a very nice Chevy truck - rolled down his window and proceeded to tell me a long story about how his wife had headed to New York yesterday and had evidently had an accident on the turnpike and had been taken to the hospital in Scranton. Long story short he was trying to head that way but realized he had left his wallet in his wifes car that morning when he filled it up with gas. So now his truck was sucking E - he had no money - no credit cards. He had gone to a gas station, gone to CVS, gone to the Giant and no one would help him. He wanted to head up Route 10 and hit the turnpike. So like an idiot I handed him $40.00 - he said can I get your name or your phone number to return it. I said no - I didnt want him to have my name or my number - and I likewise didnt want his name. Told him to simply pay it forward. Maybe I got snookered or maybe I just helped someone out that needed help. It all sounded genuine to me.
