So 20% of the tolls collected on the Tappan Zee Bridge goes to support operations on the entire Thruway system BUT now that the Thruways main money making structure needs replacement, they want local drivers to bear the entire cost of construction? This to the direct detriment of our pocketbooks and our local economy? Let me be perfectly clear ... this notion of tripling the toll to pay for the bridge is a non starter and I will fight tooth and nail to prevent it.
