So. 2014 has come to a close. In regards to the year in music, I could not have been more satisfied if i had tried. 2014 featured many phenomenal releases, and narrowing it down to 50 of my personal favorites was a struggle, and choosing a number one seemed impossible for a while. Heres the list i wound up with: 1. Manchester Orchestra-Cope/Hope 49.The Used- Imaginary Enemy 50. Say Anything-Hebrews To anyone who knows me, seeing Weezer at my #1 spot shouldnt come as any sort of surprise. Weezer not only made their best album in nearly 20 years, but made an album that struck an oddly personal chord with me this year. Deciding on it as my number one came from one moving listen/ discussion about the album, and I stand behind it as the album that truly represents my 2014, despite not being released until October. That being said, all 50 albums I have listed are worth listening too, and are something special in their own right. Happy new year every one. May 2015 be another joyous year for the cherished art of music.
