So Alan Henning, a man who went to help the Islamic people out of - TopicsExpress

So Alan Henning, a man who went to help the Islamic people out of his own sense of being a caring human has been murdered by people claiming to be representatives of those he went to help. Although there had been a limited amount of appeals by Islamic leaders in the UK, I for one want to see and hear them not just condemn the act, but to permanently distance themselves from this so called representation and to keep pushing his name forward in their own communities so he is not forgotten. However the reality is most likely that he will be forgotten as soon as the next hostage is murdered and I do wonder if the muslim community really cares about his ultimate fate as there is a complete lack of publicity on this front. Maybe the media declines to advertise their disgust at this act or maybe they simply dont care? Either way all these acts do is to fuel the right wing rhetoric that causes conflict. I for one am grateful to have been born in the UK and to be British...but although I have sympathy for the plight of millions in the middle east, I cannot bring myself to forgive a religion for not being far more active in deterring this brutality and ask one simple question...WTF is every middle eastern country to whom we have sold Billions of pounds of military equipment not invading this area and sorting out their own shit. Religion I loath it...
