So, Amiyahs at lunch today, and a classmate comes up to her and loudly announces to the whole table, Hey Amiyah, we saw you walking home from school the other day, and my mom said you look like a boy. Amiyah, without missing a beat, replies, Hey, *insert bullys name here*, tell your mom, thank you, I am....turns around to continue eating. It goes without saying, this kid targeting her with her and her mothers nasty opinions were completely unnecessary. Its scary the degree of irrelevancy these individuals are in our lives; why is Amiyah so relevant in theirs? We have gone out of our way to peacfully remove ourselves from such clearly troubled individuals. Ive been tolerant far too long. Pardon the redundancy, children are a product of their environment. Its quite apparent why this kid has always been a problem. Rather than promoting and condoning your childs behavior, I encourage you and your daughter to do some soul searching, and find the real reason youre so unhappy, that youd resort to trying to bring down my sweet girl. One thing I did get right in this world- Ive raised a happy, kind, strong, confident little girl. Ill tell you with certainty, shes too bright; youll never dull her shine. Its not the first time shes been blasted in front of her peers by this kid. But it is mine. How does it feel, Psue Shoemaker?
