So BJP MP in Gaya is organizing Gharwapsi for dalits who converted to Christianity a few years ago. But BJP has nothing to do with the event. LOL! But anyway, being a Hindu I say, YOU ARE NOT A HINDU IF YOU PRACTICE INEQUALITY. HINDUISM IS ABOUT EQUALITY. These upper cast bigots oppressed the Dalits & STs for ages and now when they stepped up to gain equal status in society, Sanghis are terrified. If Hindus had follow their religion truly & care about lower (unfortunate reference) castes & tribes, no one would have ever converted to any other religion. But how can they be considered equal & given equal status. No? Imagine the plight of those who have had to convert their religion. For what? Survival in the society. To get better social status for kids, to avoid social injustice which they themselves & their ancestors have suffered since ages. Even today, the Indian society at large doesnt care about those who are born in SC & ST families. Theyre considered lesser mortals & YOU want them to live so & embrace the religion/ caste system, still? How many cared about 80 Assamese being killed? People from pseudo upper castes dont marry to SC/ STs. Is that equality? And you want them to embrace the system that degrades? Many argue that many of those from SC & ST have risen in different quarters and there is no inequality anymore. Well, let me tell you, a temple in Bihar was purified recently. Why? Because the CM who is supposedly a lesser human for being born into lower caste visited it. Please go to the nearest temple and ask the priest about his view about dalits. Go and randomly ask people you know if they would marry (or get their children marry to) someone from SC/ ST. You will know what the majority thinks and then you expect those lesser humans not demand eqaul social status? You gotta be kidding me. Yes, converting/ reconverting to any religion isnt the solution to the problem because the problem exists in the society and not just a religion. Your disgusting psyche about SC/ ST being lesser mortals has to change. They are as humans as YOU are. Thanks to the Govt schemes that SC/ ST (not all though) are aware of their rights and theyre NOT going to take this low caste crap from YOU anymore. If you dont give them equal status, they will not embrace you. My opposition to conversion/ reconversion isnt for or against any religion. I give that a damn. Its all about unequal society & oppression of SC/ST. Also, go and find out if ever anyone from upper castes, even if poorest of poor, converted to any other religion. The result will answer why conversations takes place. In fact, I must say that I have come across many, including in my family, who say upon being asked about acceptance of love marriages, ya my family is cool, they have no issues with love marriages, they just say that guy/ girl shouldnt be a Muslim or Dalit. Ha! Hypocrite idiots. And dont worry, my family comes from the same society and they too thought so and many in my family still do believe the same. Also, I am sure similar is the case with most Sikhs, Christians & Muslims etc. So again, it is not the problem with a specific religion but the psyche of the people in the society. Stop practicing & accepting inequality.
