So, Chris worked all day between church services yesterday to make sure the water tanks were filled. Today we found out when we woke up that our pump is broken, and has been pumping the water into the septic tank... yup, over half our reserves gone through the night. I think he might have had a cultural moment this morning when he found out :\ He left early for town, which is an hour at least one way- to try to get our phones hooked up etc. Im praying he has a successful day today just to lift his spirits. Josh and a young man from church are digging up the pavement and exposing the pipes so we can replace the broken one. The city is SUPPOSED to turn on the water for us today (still waiting) so perhaps I can refill the tanks. The kids are still asleep... jet lag is hitting them :) Im thankful I have so many young ones to send to the bazaar etc... The bazaar is about two miles away, and only works till sometime around one-ish so we have to figure these things out or we do without! lol Let me tell ya, the snacking has decreased around here considerably! But did I say how wonderful the peaches are? And the ruby red juicy sweet tomatoes? And I skimmed a full pint of cream off the top of my milk this morning to make my own half n half for the coffee! Oh yes, there are definitely benefits!
