So Darlings, the Duchess is a couple of gems short of a tiara today. Woke up at five a.m., horrified to see that the alarm was not on, so flicked it on. Hauled oneself out of bed at 6 a.m., showered, hair dried, coffee on, increased heat, dressed for work and shook the D(y)uke awake. The D(y)uke arose complaining loudly that surely this was still the weekend (a routine and almost daily complaint). Something, however, resonated this morning, and the Duchess checked her phone. It said it was Sunday. SUNDAY!!! Still, it took several moments to register. It was indeed, still, the weekend ... and here was the Duchess ... almost an hour into sleeping time... all showered, polished, earringed and necklaced!!! One could have cried, darlings! Fortunately, no make-up had yet been applied, so the Duchess stripped down and jack-knifed back into bed. Woke up at 10:15! And that was just the beginning....
