So.. Earthdance was officially one of the most demoralizing experiences of my life. A big thank you to the 3 people that came out to hear my set. For me... This was supposed to be the culmination of years of self sacrifice. All those nights Ive been playing for free. All the hours I spend listening to music so you guys could hear the best sounds I could possibly find. I did it for nothing more than to hopefully, one day, be able to return to the place I was reborn. To repay the enormous debt I felt for the people who had shown me a different lifestyle. To spread the feeling of joy and love I now trudge to maintain for all of you. But in the end. Nobody really cared. Not my friends, not the people Ive helped make money doing events for, not the people I helped get discounted tickets. Not the people that stole beers out of my cooler, and ate my food without asking, or wanted rides in my chair... Happy to know Ive wasted the last few years of my life supporting a scene full of people who couldnt care less about me.
