So El Maestro Youssou Ndour is coming back to Gambia after his musical hiatus and rather brief foray into national politics. A welcome and much anticipated event for many I am sure. What irks me is that the organizers chose to host this event during the Christian Holy Week, starting on that most solemn day of Good Friday. It is galling to think that a group as big and diverse as the SSHFC Staff Association can make such a blunder and proceed with it unchecked. This may not only be an affront to practising Christians but may also dent your fundraising objective. Go figure!
