So, FedEx tries to deliver my new smart phone today(a day late) and the apparently new driver doesnt come to the back door like they have for the last 2 years so we can actually see them approach the house, he just leaves a been there, you werent home note stuck to the front door. The note says I can pick it up back at the office in Salem (40-mile round trip) after 4:30. The office closes at 5:00 so I call the 800 number to see if they will really be there and, no, driver estimates return to station time at 5:45. The 800 number guy is in Mexico at 3:00 pm our time and says the office is closed, its after 5:00 pm. Face palm. He barely speaks English, which is OK because hes a Mexican in Mexico, but what the hell is FedEx thinking? Outsourcing their telephone during business hours to a bunch of people who cant tell time and barely speak the language of their parent company? The next few words will be unspoken out of consideration for the children.
