So. Fourth Sunday of Advent. As I mentioned on a previous Sunday, the four Sundays traditionally each represent one aspect of the anticipation of Advent: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. This week, we add the fourth purple candle to the wreath for love. There are so many Carols. Some of my favorites for this theme, Ive already posted - Welcome to Our World, by Amy Grant, and Leaving Heaven, by Michael West. But today, Im posting a relatively new one (though someone will surely say that its been popular for a while, LOL), called When Love Was Born, here done by Michael Schwartz. I do enjoy the instrumental beginning, but the feeling Schultz interjects to the words just makes this piece come to life for me. Words below. Starlight shines, the night is still Shepherds watching from a hill I close my eyes to see the night When love was born A Perfect child gently waits A mother bends to kiss Gods face I close my eyes to see the night When love was born Angels fill the midnight sky and they sing Hallelujah, He is Christ, our King Emmanuel, Prince of peace Love come down for you and me Heavens gift, the holy spark To light the way inside our hearts Bethlehem, through your small door Came the hope weve waited for The world was changed forevermore When love was born I close my eyes to see the night When love was born https://youtube/watch?v=aKSU9Dbxvrw&list=PLI24Enpquzxn0ty9ucKJLYz1gZMRrAOg5&index=14
