So, Friday night Childrens Church was wonderful. I taught about Daniel and the three Hebrew boys. It is necessary for children to learn that God uses young people to accomplish great things for His glory. While there are many examples in the Bible, these are two unparalleled stories. First these young men were taken from their families and raised in slavery/captivity. Even in these circumstances, they still believed in the true and living God and because they exhibited such great faith in critical conditions, God delivered them and caused even the king to acknowledge His presence and power. In the lesson I the characteristics of Daniel and they are: 1. He was young, 2. He was handsome, 3. He was smart, 4. He could interpret dreams, and 5. He was a man of God. In the future, I will highlight the student who best engages and retains the lesson. Today its Isaiah Thurston, hes 9 years old and his calling is to the office of an Apostle.
