So, Hal from California left this really encouraging review on TripAdvisor - with a shout out in there to our wonderful Grazia - well deserved we think, shes great! Love Hals comment that Giapo gelato is to live for - its certainly what we live and breathe. Thanks Hal, you can come visit us anytime! #tripadvisorfuzzies What more can be said – this literally hole in the wall on Queen Street serves up absolutely the best gelato in town -- made-from organic and really good ingredients sourced from so many places. My server, Grazia was thoroughly into it -- one of the best customer focused employees that I’ve ever encountered, she recommended five tastes and a delish 2-flavor combo of Christchurch hazelnut and 3-chocolate sorbet – both combined were heavenly and decadent. Some people say that something this amazingly delish is “to die for” – I’d have to modify that to proactively say that Giapo gelato is “TO LIVE FOR” – one of those wonderful life experiences that one wants to repeat, time and time again. Giapo takes gelato to go street-side pick-up to a whole other level – each cone or cup is seriously decorated with specific toppings that are selected to enhance the serving w/ something special on top that both looks beautiful and adds to the entire taste experience. How classy! Giapo’s street-side gelato stand offers up delicious-ness like no other place I have encountered – not only in NZ but anywhere that I have traveled. NOTE: TripAdvisor needs a new category -- dessert or treats...cause this could be any time of day not simply breakfast, lunch, dinner or late night.
