So... Here at the AAM, in the wee morning hours, I did one if my rounds only to come very close to a homeless man right outside the lobby doors. Needless to say, freaked the crap out of me! My skin literally crawled with goosebumps. I spent the next 2-3 minutes in between rafters (because the walls are made of GLASS) and crouching down to stay out of eye contact. Shaking, I came back to dispatch as my coworker and I zoomed in through one of our cameras to find this same man walking in the middle of the street. Never a dull moment during the midnight-8 AM shift (well sometimes there is). At least I know my parasympathetic nervous system is working! And this time, I chose flight!
