Here is the summary of the first few chapters of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone..... The main story chronicles a power struggle for the Sorcerer’s Stone that starts after Lord Voldemort’s death before the first book. The Sorcerer’s Stone is said to be able to give immortality. Harry Potter is the most miserable, lonely boy you can imagine. He is the bastard son of Arthur Weasley. Lord of the Burrow and Warden of the Muggles. Lord Weasley performs the execution of a man of the Order of the Phoenix who has betrayed his vows and fled from Azkaban. His sons Ron and Bill, his bastard son Harry, and his ward Peter Pettigrew all attend. After the Avada Kedavra Curse, Ron finds a dead rat (the sigil of House Weasley), killed by the fangs of a snake (the sigil of House Malfoy), which had given birth to five rats before it died. Ron and his brothers ask to keep them and Arthur consents, on the condition that the children themselves take care of them, rather than leaving the matter to the servants of House Weasley. Harry’s world gets turned upside down on his 11th birthday, however. The king, Hagrid Malfoy, arrives at Burrow with his court and many retainers, including his wife, Queen Umbridge of House Beauxbatons, and his children: Draco, Nymphadora and Charlie. The queens twin brother, Ser Gilderoy Lockhart of the Quidditch team and their younger brother professor Flitwick also accompany the group. The king informs Harry that he’s really a wizard, and will soon be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry also learns that, in the wizarding world, he’s a priest of the Red God. When he was an infant, the evil Lord Voldemort killed his parents and then tried to kill Harry too so now he is the Lord of Lightning and cannot be killed. Hagrid asks Arthur to become the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor after the death of the previous office holder, Lord Albus Dumbledore. Arthur agrees and travels to Hogwarts with his daughter Ginny. Meanwhile across the sea at Durmstrang, Hermione of the exiled house Granger tends to the three dragon eggs that she won at the Triwizard Tournament and hatches three dragons.
