So I Pray and try my BEST not to get caught up in this cruel evil thing called "RACIST". I go into the target this evening and get in line, not realizing the light was not on and the young man proceeded to help me as if the light was on. This lady walks up beside me and says to the young man in a NASTY SARCASTIC Voice, "You need to turn your light on so I know if you are open or not", the young man says man I am only here to help get the lines down but would be more than happy to help you, she again says in a NASTY SARCASTIC Voice, "You need to turn your light on so I know if you are open or not". If looks could tell you what was on my tongue and mind, she would have known she was about to be in trouble. I looked at her and said mam, he has offered to help you and there is NO need for that tone or to talk to him like that, she looked at me scared as hell as she aught to have been. As a African American woman, I can not try to understand what a African American young man possibly has to go through. Its people like that woman that make you wanna think about loosing the little religion that you have, however, I know a man that has some higher powers and will deal with her. I pray for the young African American men that are out here trying to make an honest living and have to deal with these "RACIST old BATS". People will go out of their way to try and provoke you, or make you lower your self to their stupid standards. Young men hold your heads high and do what God has called you to do. I truly earned my degree today "Masters in TNBS- Take No Bull Shi*", I know my Nanny used to tell us, Kill them with Kindness, well, that does not always work.......PrayPrayPray......
