So I always talk about my momma with Fabio, growing up and quirky - TopicsExpress

So I always talk about my momma with Fabio, growing up and quirky nice things she did. The two things today that I remember, and want to share are: (1) My momma was a shameless book theif (photos also, she had a quick hand) and you could not EVER leave a book at her house because she would sign the inside cover AND page 247, all with that old school nun flare, R.G. Liberty. And swear with a straight face I have had that book for years kkkk. (2) she loved notes, did not matter the occassion. But each morning when my brother Jeff and myself woke up, she had set the table for brrakfast the night before with a note. Usually with inspirational messages, weather alerts or reminders. Always signed with much love my darlings, momma. She wrote notes for everyrhing, for school she had special blue linen paper, scented, and would always start the note, to whom it may concern, to this day I laugh at this because she is one of the few people I know of that used whom. Thank you notes were a must, always sent the next day, and she thought it was a capital social offense if you did not write one, something that I am forever grateful she taught me. (3) she detested rudeness, but on the phone there were two rules if you called. One, identify yourself and ask to speak WITH, NEVER TO (she would correct the caller) and ask to whom would you like to speak with? Or who is calling?. She NEVER EVER answered the phone at dinner time. She would let it ring! (4) she had a unique way of getting to know everyone, she would start up conversations with complete strangers, and within twenty minutes have them telling her their life story, she had a special way to comfort people, and was a tomb about the information they shared with her, she hated gossip, thought it was something low and vile, not worthy of the person since they were not around to defend themself.
