So I am at a crossroads with my boat and looking for advice. Sell - TopicsExpress

So I am at a crossroads with my boat and looking for advice. Sell her as is or spend even more on her to make her more attractive to a buyer? I bought this 1986 Morgan 43 last year to live on and cruise. She was loved in the beginning of her life and made 12 trips to the islands. I got a decent deal on her because she was abused for 4 or 5 years. I spent considerable money on new sails, expensive full enclosure, all new top of the line upholstery and berth cushions, engine rebuild, all new ports, etc etc. I love this boat, she sails great and has a ton of room inside plus she fits the bill for going down the ICW. THEN I found a wonderful women (with her own sailboat) and we got married and I moved back ashore. Now we have too many boats so we are going to sell them all and buy something together. We are in no rush to sell the Morgan and we still cruise her a lot but she does need to go eventually. I love working on her and thats a good thing because she still has some issues. Im still doing regular small updates like fixing wiring, replacing the steering cables etc but she needs a few more expensive upgrades like countertops, Auto pilot, maybe floors and most of all her hull. She looks like she was bouncing off dock pilings like a ping pong ball before I bought her. Im guessing getting the hull smoothed and painted isnt cheap. I know you never make money on a boat so Im ok with loosing some money, So. Try and sell her as is for maybe $45 - $50,000 or invest lots more money and hope to find someone that can afford a nicer boat at a higher cost? Im just worried that if I invest another $30000 Im going to loose tons of money but if I dont invest more she wont ever sell. Lol. Boats.....any great advice from the experts?
