So I am at work, After a while a white guy (name Brandon)walked up to me, gave me a few compliments etc. He expressed how much he liked black women and how interesting we are. He proceeded to ask me out but I politely declined. Later on he saw me leaving work with one of my coworkers named Shawn (black man). The next day Brandon comes back and asks Are you a modern or traditional woman? I responded with I consider myself I modern woman with traditional values. He asked me to elaborate so I said. I consider myself modern because I like to make my own money do things myself. I dont sit around and wait for men to give or do anything for me. At the same time, I believe in most traditional values, I am a semi submissive woman, I believe in cooking, cleaning and catering to my man. In a relationship a man is the lead and I am supposed to love, follow, support and listen him. His response wow, here you are wasting all that wonderful on black men, you need to get with the times and date a man who will appreciate you. My response see that is the beautiful thing about traditional values, I dont consider black men a waste. There are good and bad in every race, the problem is media has told you that, and they also told you that lie that most black people only date interracially now. Unfortunately Brandon not to sound clique but I like my men like I my coffee black and strong. His response yeah but always taste better when you add cream. My response funny I always wondered why i only reach for the mocha flavor
