So I am in search of a new to me car. Something a little bit better on gas mileage and a little more kid friendly. So a 4 door car or small suv. I finally decide to go look at a local dealership. Dreading the ridiculous game that was about ensue. He asked me a few questions and I politely explained that I am interested in a used vehicle. I would like to see what they would give me for my pickup on a trade and look at the used cars on the lot. He says so how much do you owe on the truck and how will you be paying for the difference. I replied the truck is paid for and I will pay for the difference with cash. He says ok great, we just need to go inside and do some paper work and run your credit. Uh no, we dont I just told you that wouldnt be necessary. Then he turns to me and says oh its no big deal we just need to run your credit to confirm you are who you say you are and that your ssn matches your name and that you are here in the US legally. WTF?!?!?! I said uh thats what my ss card does. Complete waste of my time. Told him several times I just want to shoot straight and not bs. It was absurd!!! He kept on and on with his rambling about how he is a veteran and he may not be there next week because he has so many VA appointments. Worst car shopping experience EVER!!!!!
