So I am really setting out shifting my career focus from English Prof to Playwright. And I am just beginning to develop my relationships with Birmingham Theaters. I have a few burning questions that Ill be asking each of you individually, but here is probably the most efficient space to get started on some answers. 1) Who are the local serious playwrights? And have you formed a group yet? If not, lets get crack-a-lackin. 2) Do any of the Birmingham Theaters have Writers in Residence? If not, you should. And I should be your first one. And we can go from there... ha! But, no seriously, this is how to get us on the map and I want to talk to everyone about this. 3) Then, we need a New Plays Festival in town... and then well really be cooking with gas.
