So I am starting off my New Year by getting back to basics. I am doing a cleansing of negative things in my life. Its like doing a disc Defrag on your computer, you need to schedule it or viruses can latch on and drain your system. Let me start off by telling you a few things that I struggled with last year. Against better judgment, I say that cause I had reservations about a few people but let them in because one had a back ground I hold in high regards, the other person just appeared, new rider, slick, cunning and manipulative. Didnt notice things right away. I am by nature cautious but I ignored red flags. Im sharing this because I have come to learn every time I ignore my gut Im pissed off at myself for one because it is my internal traffic signal. I have come to learn from trauma, anger and grief evey person deals with lifes storms differently. It is no secret those that know me well I have issues with people who are judgmental, those that use God to justify thier behavior, those who are two faced, a liar, those that manipulate, women that bring shame to women in motorcycling, to those who try to take advantage of the needs of our countrys veterans, to those who exploit others to serve themselves, so lets just say, yes I have very strong personal beliefs. I believe that by not making a decision it is making a decision! I am not an ostrich and I dont stick my head in the sand to ignore the elephants in the room. I guarantee I have that love or hate personality! I also guarantee I will not align myself knowingly with those that practice in the above behaviors knowingly. I have said this before but Ill say it again, because you sit in church or put God sayings on Facebook it doesnt make you perfect, spirituality is a personal experience and action! Riding a motorcycle doesnt make you a biker, its a lifestyle, a personal experience with your bike, the wind and its difficult to put into words. Because you have had your picture taken with someone doesnt mean youre friends or family. Take time to do a defrag. It may surprise you when you see the viruses that have attached to you or your life. It may be uncomfortable at first but it is liberating! Enjoy your weekend!
