So I am studying for tonights message and my second son, Jesse, - TopicsExpress

So I am studying for tonights message and my second son, Jesse, comes into the office. I could tell he was struggling with emotion and tears. He asked if I could talk. When God is working in a heart, my message always goes to the back burner!!! He was struggling with the memory of his profession at the age of five...he remembered part of it, but not all. He told me through tears how he wanted to have the assurance of salvation and how he wanted to give his whole life to the Lord to serve God. Im glad that when we cant remember; God cant forget. He got on his knees and pleaded with God that, if he wasnt saved, the Lord would save and allow him to be used of God. He got up with peace in his heart and a desire to be baptized, and the tears were gone; but mine were just beginning. I am glad that God both saves sinners and gives assurance of salvation to those whose heart condemns them. Im reminded of that song West Coast Baptist sings Jesus Saves, Jesus Saves; Hallelujah, Jesus Saves; Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Jesus Saves.
