So I am working from home today, hear the schnauzer alarm going off under my right elbow, thinking someone must be about to ring the doorbell and then notice she is looking out the window behind me. First thought is that there is no way she is seeing something out that window, but curiosity gets the best of me and I turn around. About 30 yards behind me, slowly grazing through my yard is an 8 point whitetail buck. I get the binos and start to check him out and watch him as he walks off to about 80 yards then notice that he is being followed by a 4 pointer. They hang out under the live oak tree for a while and slowly continue on their way. Watching those two really psyched me up for my trip to Wyoming in 8 days, to backpack into the Bridger national forest to hunt Elk, then over to the Wind River reservation to hunt mule deer. Life is indeed good.
