So I appreciate this will seem anything but apropos to Lovecraftian themes, but please bear with me....Ive been watching Breaking Bad, and in one of the first episodes in season 3, several men and women are shown crawling on their bellies in the dust, in silence, to a shrine of what I took to be santa muerte....I cannot adequately convey how downright unsettling this sequence was for me, evoking images of the ancient beings of the Nameless city, or some human cult that preserved some form of their ageless rites....do we have any Spanish, Mexican or S American members who might be able to comment as to whether this crawling approach is generally part of petitioning Santa Muerte, and what the origins and significance of this part of the ritual are?
