So I back into the church parking lot first to arrive as I - TopicsExpress

So I back into the church parking lot first to arrive as I usually am to unload my equipment. As Im sitting there, an old green Chevy pickup (late 80s or so) comes slowly driving down the road in front of Mt Olive Baptist, I mean really slow, two male subjects looking all around at the houses and the church. The driver is a hispanic or possibly black with Blue tinted hair, the passenger is a big shaggy headed black. They look at me and nod and keep slowly cruising up to Fm437 N. They stop and just sit, then slowly continue straight across on Gulf toward Milam. They drive so slow they are almost stopped. Then they sit at the stop sign at Milam and Gulf forever and finally turn right. I do not recognize these two or the vehicle and I am around town a lot. My old cop instincts kick in and I decided to follow them. I get to the stop sign at Milam and they are down across the rail road tracks just sitting finally going across on Milam. Im able to catch up with them at normal speeds cause they are driving so slow. They turn right on Prairie and continue across Alvin Ailey and across High street all the way down to Bartlett street looking and stopping and talking to each other. If this isnt casing the neighborhood, Ill eat my hat. I kicked on my video camera in my truck (yes I have one) as I pulled up behind them at Prairie and High street to record the license number and vehicle type and the two subjects in it. I turn right on Elm, to go to the highway, as they go straight on Prairie. This is called parallelling suspect vehicles. I hook a left at the bank onto the highway and go down to Doggets and hook another left to try to see where they are at that time. I should mention when I turned left on to the highway at Milam,Tim was giving someone a ticket down by Busters house on the highway. By the time I turned left by Doggetts, Tim is behind me with his lights on. Doesnt recognize my truck and stops me for erratic driving? I tell him about the truck and give him the license number and try to give him the description, but he gets some kind of other call on the radio. A few minutes later, I see him cruising EAST on Prairie the opposite direction from where I said the truck went. Back to working traffic. SO--- for all residents info, I believe these two to be not from this area and casing the neighborhood, based on my 20yrs of catching burglars and thieves. I will have to recheck my video, but I believe the LP is DNF 4347, older light green chev pickup. Ill pass the info to Justin and Trey, the night shift guys. The do more surveillance and patrol in the evenings. Keep your eyes open folks. Thieves are everywhere. Neighborhood watch works! And NO Im not playing cop, just an extra set of eyes does wonders sometimes.
