So I check my UT mail, and I have a notice saying that they have replaced my 300 class with a 307 class at the same time that they opened up. 300 is Intro to Abstract Algebra, the 307 is HONORS. 300 is all that is required, but the email says that 307 is more suited for math majors. All math majors registered for that class were moved to the 307 class. I was told by the adviser that whether or not you take honors classes is irrelevant. I am taking too many hours to make it harder than it has to be. I am all for higher learning, but I am freaking about the thought of a honors class my first term there with 5 classes. I am kinda irritated too, that they would just assume that I wanted honors instead of regular. Just the thought of going to UT is scary enough, add the word honors and my brain goes into meltdown. >:(
