So I completed my ALS bucket challenge this morning, and challenged the entire Soccer Team (coaches & staff too) to do something to recognize either ALS and the search to find a cure, OR to recognize a challenge/disorder/illness women face around the world. Did you know the majority of the 25% of Americans who will be diagnosed with mental illness in their lives are women and yet access to proper care remains a significant challenge? I did this before I saw the two challenges posted today. Yall are creative and I am sure will figure something out, but I also understand the coaches have you focused on training and classes will begin soon so that has to have priority. I dont care about buckets of ice water, but do something as a TEAM to show your class not only on the field, in The Corps, and in the classroom, but also as the LEADERS you are or will soon become. Also, the challenge doesnt have to be completed this week or this month, but I would prefer to see something by the end of the season. Perhaps you can challenge the other teams in the conference to follow your lead and build momentum around something unique. Cant wait for the first game!
