So I didnt give a recap during the run only because the FB Feed was on fire. So I thought I would share some of my favorite pics, and a thank you. It feels weird to simply just sit and kick my feet up tonight and watch mindless television settled into an easy chair when only a week ago Kelly Nesvold was running 103 miles and I was running the miles I committed to plus more because I hated to see him suffer. It was an amazing event to say the least. He is still recovering and it will take months I am sure. It took me a few nights to stop having bad dreams of reliving the worry I had for him when it got pretty rough. His legs swollen and unable to bend but no regrets and always he is in a great spirit. Love being part of the impact he made along with all of those that supported the calling placed on his heart. All those little bellies getting fed and the grace God is going to fulfill and make the return on this investment more amazing than what we can imagine. I totally get why those that go on missions want to return as soon as possible. I really totally get it. The stuff totally doesnt matter. Until you go beyond yourself to serve God boldly, that is where the best treasure is found. So I know something else will happen. Thank you to the pacers and their families for their commitment. Thank you to Cornerstone Church for supporting this. Thank you Hormel Foods for your backing and involvement with this endeavor. Thank you Jessica Broberg for loaning out your amazing husband Aaron Broberg for we so needed a Captain for this ship and its mates. And for your wonderful write up at 2am on Sunday morning when I felt too many emotions, it centered me immediately and calmed me. Thank you to our friends that showed their friendship went beyond the norm. I have never felt so cared about or loved by friends. You were there with concern and spirit to cheer him on to the end. A family in Christ is a treasure.
