So I dont know if anyone else has tried this, but I thought Id post up and share my results... The tank on my 80 ltd wasnt in bad shape inside, as it had been stored somewhat correctly, but still had some dried on fuel residue and a little light surface scale. Not full on rust, but certainly something that used to be metal. I was looking around for an easy method to clean it out and ran across the Cider Vinegar trick. Long story short, my tank has been sitting in various different positions since Tuesday with a gallon of Apple cider vinegar in it. Every time I turn it I shake the hell out of it. I just checked it out and holy crap its clean inside! I think one more day inverted and Ill call it good! Just thought Id pass this on.
