So I feel led to share this.. Two nights ago I had a dream. I almost always dream, but its always pointless dreams about random people. Well in this one, there was a giant snake outside my bedroom window. It was so big that if it were to wrap around you it would surely kill you. The snake was curled up and resting peacefully. But I kept a close eye on it to make sure it would stay there. Who wants a snake coming in their house anyway? After resting though, the snake would make its way around my house, through the door, and inside. It would wander around the inside of the house and then return back outside to rest. The snake repeated this several times. When I woke up and began to think about it all, I instantly thought of the devil. So many times we are aware of satans plans or tricks so we keep a close eye on him. We watch and make sure he cant enter into our lives. But so many other times we just let him in with the door wide open. We allow him to come into our lives and our houses and our families and relationships. Places he shouldnt be. We let him come in and do as he pleases and we let him come and go as he pleases. This is something I have struggled with all year. But Im here to tell you that it doesnt have to be that way. We have freedom in Christ and authority to rebuke any evil spirit that tries to mess with our lives. We are to claim victory over whatever we are facing and we are to NOT give the devil a foothold. Stand firm on the word of God. Pray! And the next time the devil is trying to mess with your life or enter into your home, slam the door in his face and run to the Lord!
