So, I finally decided to head down to my basement (which is close qualifying for an episode of Hoarders) to look for my beloved chaps (approximately 40 years old but good the last time I used them- about 10 years ago). I started digging through the boxes, bins, trash bags, and trunks. I found about 50 lbs of bits in a tub, two grooming boxes still fully equipped, half a grocery bag of syringes and needles, nearly a dozen blankets (that need washing BADLY- and my washer is getting ready to die), 5 elastic end girths, two side saddle girths (would sell those), all kinds of polo bandages, hock boots, halters for weanlings up to BIG sizes, my custom coolers and paddock sheets, an old fashioned neck cradle, several empty cans of brass polish, a large box of bandage pins, enough flannel bandages to set up 4 race horses for shipping and standing wraps for a 4 month racing season (no idea why I kept all of those-anybody need any), 3 sets of elastic racing girths (2 are still stretchy), misc. saddle pads, probably 8 bridles, no idea how many breastplates and martingales, but NO chaps. I am really annoyed.
