So, I found and killed a brown recluse spider yesterday morning. It had the violin on his back and everything. Im not afraid of spiders usually, but I am afraid of a brown recluse bite that might cause my skin to fall off. Yeah, that part scares me. Ive seen the pictures. The freakiest part was that he was hiding on the backside of the roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. If I had not seen him ahead of time, well, I dont even want to think about what area of my body might have been bitten. Worse yet, it could have bitten Matthew. So now I am walking around my house analyzing every object before I touch it, sit on it, step on it, etc. Living out in the country, under a bunch of trees and by a creek, I have learned to coexist with tons of bugs my whole life. I dont usually even care about spiders, but now I have to make sure they arent brown recluses. I still have my big cotton spider friend in my front entrance. I know she isnt poisonous, so I like her. She actually is like a guard spider keeping strangers away from my front door. I dont like being fearful, I consider it a weakness. But, I also dont like the thought of what that spider could have bitten! YIPES!
