So I found out a very interesting new coupon policy at target when I was there on the weekend. I had a long discussion with the manager and also obtained a copy of the policy. Here is the change so no one else is surprised. When price matching and also using a target coupon and manufacturer coupon: the coupon will be applied BEFORE the price match and the manufacturer coupon will be applied after. For example: I price matched Kotex maxi pads there this weekend and had the 1.00 off target and 2.00 off Kotex coupon. The price at target was 3.97 and the they were on sale for 2.97. The cashier rings in the maxi pads at 3.97, uses the 1.00 off target one bringing it to 2.97 and then price matches (which was also 2.97) so then my 2.00 coupon was applied leaving the end balance for me .97. In most cases it is not beneficial to price match and use 2 coupons at target, although if you wanted to you can but you are wasting coupons. It seems to be most beneficial to use 2 coupons when the product is on sale at target. Sorry this is so long but this was news to me and according to the manager at target a very recent change.
