So I go from watching Guardians of the Galaxy to watching the Animatrix. Why? Well I have always wanted to watch it and I want to watch a Nostalgia Critic review. Thoughts you may or may not ask? I liked it. The various animations were different, yet well done. The soundtrack was pretty fun...though the sound Double on my phone and a part of the credits are the same. Suffice to say I had a moment...But anyway. Voice acting was solid. Perhaps not perfect, but Solid. Overall, not as distopia future as i was expecting. Granted The Second Renaissance and Matriculated, could have easily done that. I mean I was like Damn!!! to the The Second Renaissance. I mean that was grim, but not in a way that would normally make me sceeve out. Most likely cause it was not as sceeve worthy as other things I have seen and, well...It was Warhammer 40K Grimdark. Them invasions scenes!!! I super liked The Second Renaissance. Matriculated on the other hand. Well it was not bad. I am pretty sure I get the jist of it and it was not too grating. Granted the weirdest thing to me was that it reminded me heavily of Aeon Flux and or the Guy who does Invader Zim and Johnny the Homicidal maniac. Which, in the form of Invader Zim and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, is not too bad. Aeon Flux though? Straight up near The Giver Levels of hate, and I only saw one and a half episodes of that damn show!!! Overall, I enjoyed it and it was definitely both fun to watch and you could try to go all super philosophical with it. But I digress. Its the Matrix? What do you expect?
