So I go out front yesterday to see if any of the heirloom sweet peas had started blooming......what a total shock to see that EVERY single one of my California poppies, a bunch of my bee balm and all the bachelor buttons on the east side of the front walk were all yellow and dying or had been KILLED by overspray from chemicals that seem to have been sprayed to clean out the grass, (approx. 1 inch tall cuz I WEED the sidewalk every week), that grows in the cracks of the sidewalks, on a windy day last week. No one let the neighborhood know. If this weed killer is like the stuff people put on dandelions, then there is an extremely good chance I could lose all the sweet peas. I have a bunch of plants that are turning yellow and I had to take out every affected plant over there...so angry and so sad I almost cried while sweeping everything up to throw it away. Not understanding the irresponsibility and really sad...... Anyone who knows me KNOWS I take care to sweep, weed, clean up et.cetera. So, so bummed.
